Francis was abducted from Earth by an alien race called the Ruwano and educated in their ways and ways of living in space. Through trials by combat he earned the Halley's Comet shield. With the shield he destroyed his captor's ship and escaped to the stars. He went to the first inhabited planet he found and metFalconer. Offered a life with freedom of choice, he took a position with the Royal Guard.
The Halley's Comet Shield enables it's bearer to exist in space, fly through space, and encases its bearer in energy like a comet. In this form, Halley can smash through nearly anything. The shield has a multicolored stone in its center that can fire a powerful beam of energy. Halley can travel through space and near light speeds, sometimes much faster. Even Halley doesn't know all the limits of his shield.
Halley met Viro when he joined the Royal Guard and the two became fast friends. They work as a team on almost everything. Halley can be impatient and hard headed. He misses his home of Chyssia and feels great loss for his whole team. Halley thirsts for justice, but many fear it may be more revenge that fuels him.
