William "Billy" Chesterfield likes to watch things die. While talented in several entertaining arts, killing is all he ever really wanted to do.
"Mother always said to find something I'm good at and this is my very best." So he built the Carnival of Fear and became its leader. Showmaster is pure diabolical psychopath who demands utmost loyalty from his team. You don't make mistakes on his team until you've earned the right to do so. Showmaster doesn't often get into the thick of a fight, but that doesn't mean he can't handle himself. He's full of nasty tricks and a submachine gun with energized bullets that never run out.
He always appears in a sharp blue suit with a black diamond painted over his right eye.
Showmaster has limited supernatural abilities that let him walk through walls and create illusions. He's also an inventive genius who modified his submachine for its abilities. He has a few magic spells he uses when the mood strikes him but he's far more dangrerous with his long list of academics he can use to kill. He's a highly efficient acrobat, explosives expert, sharpshooter, actor, special effects artist, dancer, juggler, weapons engineer, martial artist, psychologist and escape artist/stuntman. Capturing Showmaster has proven nearly impossible.
Showmaster by himself is considered to dangerous for standard law enforcement to approach. He's wanted around the world.
